Physical Therapist

Job Summary: Little Hands Little Feet Pediatric Therapies, LLC is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with diverse developmental or rehabilitative needs and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their lives. As a member of our therapy team, the Pediatric Physical Therapist will play a key role in providing comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based interventions to help children reach their goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations to assess patients motor development, strength, coordination, and functional abilities

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, clinical expertise, and family goals

  • Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions to address children's unique needs and promote optimal function and independence

  • Collaborate with other members of the therapy team, as needed, on a client-by-client basis

  • Provide ongoing monitoring and reassessment of patient's progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

  • Educate and train parents and caregivers on therapeutic activities and strategies to support their child's development and progress at home and in other environments

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, progress reports, and communication with other healthcare providers

  • Stay current with best practices and advances in pediatric physical therapy through continuing education and professional development activities

  • Provide individualized assessment and treatment services to individuals and their families at a frequency determined by you and your client

  • Complete weekly electronic documentation for all necessary chart work including assessments, daily notes, progress notes, communication notes, and any other supporting documentation

  • Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions using a variety of techniques and modalities

  • Supervision of Physical Therapist Assistant

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Tennessee

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a pediatric physical therapist within the last five years

  • Experience with a variety of pediatric diagnoses and populations, including neurodevelopmental disorders, genetic conditions, and orthopedic conditions

  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and communicate sensitively and effectively with children and families

  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development

  • Passion for working with children and making a positive difference in their lives
     

Benefits:

  • This position is eligible for a Part-Time hourly position or Independent Contractor, based upon preference

  • Compensation depends heavily on pediatric experience and knowledge base of the therapist pertaining to the pediatric population.

  • Ability to work within fixed hours set by therapist schedule 

  • Opportunity to start position with a partially built established caseload, with opportunities for increased caseload as desired.
